Baby #6 Ultra-Sound Picture

Here is an ultra-sound picture of our sixth child.  I can't wait until next month when we will find out if the baby is a boy or a girl so we can choose a name and quit calling him/her baby #6.  Dr. Beck looked  to see if he could tell the sex of the baby today but since I am only 13 weeks along and the umbilical cord was in the way he couldn't tell.

I let all my kids come to my appointment today so they could see the pictures/video of their new brother or sister.  They thought it was pretty cool.  The little examining room felt kind of crowded and I apologized to Dr. Beck, but he said oh that isn't a problem, I've had more that 20 people in here before looking at an ultra-sound.

The baby looked so good.  To me it seemed like he/she has really long legs.  I am still measuring a week ahead so the doctor has me a 14 weeks along, but I have decided to keep with my original due date just so I don't go over due.  The kids kept asking me if I wanted a boy or a girl and I said I don't care I just want a healthy baby.  They weren't satisfied with that answer and kept trying to get me to tell them if I preferred a boy over a girl or a girl over a boy, but really a healthy baby is such a miracle I am happy with that.  I love being a mother!!!

Sunday Afternoon Silliness

I love Sunday afternoons and evenings.  I think I always have.  When I was little we would go visit my Grandma Flake every Sunday evening--eating ice cream sandwiches, playing with cousins, listening to my Aunts and Uncles stories, squeezing more people onto the couch and in the living room.

When I was in high school my cousins, sisters, friends and I started a gang.  We meet mostly on Sunday afternoons and evenings.  It was the F-gang because our last names started with F.  We did a lot of crazy stuff, all very legal and proper, but kind of silly.  Ok really silly.  Our motto was "Find fine friends and fun fundraisers for future flings, fun firesides, and fast food."

In college I would invite friends over on Sunday evenings, cute boys mostly, to have brownies or cookies and hang out after church and firesides.

Now with our little growing family we go visit Grandmas and Grandpa on Sunday afternoons.  We also like to play and invent games.  Here are some pictures from a couple of weeks ago on a lazy Sunday afternoon when we set up an obstacle course and had some silliness and fun.

Mani-Pedi at Home

This morning I gave myself and the girls a little pampering.  I love doing nail designs.  If anyone ever wants a cute pedicure come on over!!  I only do the painting though, not the trimming and other stuff.

Here are mine and Karalee's pedicures.  We match.

My toes up close.

Karalee's toes up close.

Mary and Marlee's toes.  (I am watching Josh and Mary today while Amy is in Utah with the EVMCO Orchestra and David is at work.)

From left to right Mary's, Marlee's, and Karalee's manicures.  Look at how dark Karalee is compared to Marlee.  It is so crazy how different siblings can be.
