Spring Break 2010

This year our Spring Break was jam packed with fun. We started by going up to Snowflake to listen to my nephew Shad report his mission in Snowflake. (On a side note, Shad was delayed 24 hours getting home from his mission because of a canceled flight. We were so glad when he finally made it. I was the most anxious for Crystal because I know I would be a wreck if that was happening to one of my kids.) Shad gave a great report. He was a great missionary.

Spencer wasn't sure he wanted to ride a horse. He really loved riding Chester, but now that Chester has passed and he isn't used to any of the other horses he isn't so sure about riding anymore.

Bryant's turn for a ride

I convinced Spencer that flop would be an ok choice.

Rachel, Karalee, and Trevin

We got back to Gilbert on Monday night. We brought Sydney with us and she was able to stay for 4 nights!!!

Kayla and her girls made a quick one night trip to the Valley of the Sun so they could go swimming. We were excited that they got to stay at our house.

Cool tricks

Jaklyn

I love that smile!

On Friday afternoon we were able to watch Travis and Teresa's kids while they went to the temple with Kami. We had so much fun. We ate spaghetti and meatballs had cupcakes for dessert, then played kickball and the wii. We hope they come again.

(Do you like the HI Chad wrote in our grass while he was planting grass seed, then highlighted with grass killer? It makes me wonder about him. :) )

Things just didn't go his way.

Trevin - I love the spaghetti smiles!!

To make things more fair Chad often has to play while holding the baby.

We enjoyed fabulous weather!!

Here is a shot of our winter garden. It is producing nicely.

Here is the load of dirt we got to help us build up our summer garden area. It took a lot of wheelbarrow loads. Chad and I were sore that night. We are so thankful for our wonderful neighbor Mike Jensen who came over and helped!!

Below are the before shots of our summer garden. The after shot will have to come later because it is dark right now. Bryant was such a diligent worker, especially when it came time to plant. He loves gardening.

Can you tell Spencer is SO excited about this project?

Looks like fun! I would like to get a garden started. Maybe this fall!
