December 2011

December was kind of a blur for me.  I don't know why, but I have had a hard time adjusting to life with a new baby.  I didn't feel like I could take care of all of my kids very well.  I couldn't get enough sleep, I felt crazy, I got mastitis and was very weak which left me feeling helpless and a little depressed.  I was planning on having one more baby, but now I think we might be done.  I am not 100% decided though.  If Chad or I feel a strong prompting that our family is not complete we will have another baby.  I am so thankful to be feeling better now.  I am grateful for each of my children.  They are so helpful.  I am so thankful for our new little Tilly.

Most of our Christmas preparations were done before Tilly was born, but we managed to find some fun stuff to do to keep us busy.  Like,

taking a Christmas card pic,

wearing red boots,

smiling,

enjoying our little peanut,

making cookies by ourself for the first time,

smiling,

anticipating the cookies,

smiling,

using a drill to make a milk shake because our blender broke,

decorating sugar cookies,

and playing the guitars from grammy.

Spencer is 10!

Spencer turned 10 years old on Dec. 6th.  He requested a scavenger hunt to find his presents after he saw how fun Bryant's birthday scavenger hunt was.  He got a dollar with each of these clues.  (I was a little sleep deprived when I wrote these clues.  I had a one week old baby.)

1.  Look on the thing that cools you at night. (ceiling fan)
2.  Look wherre we put gifts. (under the Christmas tree)
3.  Look at the place we love to see.  Hint - it is a song (picture of the temple)
4.  Look where you keep the things that go on your feet. (shoe rack)
5.  Look in the place we clean our dishes. (dishwasher)
6.  Look in the place we keep the things that warm us up.  (linen closet)
7.  Look at where we keep our food. (pantry)
8.  Look under where your sister sleeps. (under Tilly's cradle)
9.  Look in the things that cook our food.  (pots and pans)
10.  Look behind the place we relax. (behind the couch)

Spencer got a Pokemon black version ds game

a shark week t-shirt

a CTR ring

smiles from his little sisters

and he got to light the candles by himself.

We love Tilly

Everyone loves to hold Tilly!

2011 Thanksgiving Stick Horse Rodeo

We had Thanksgiving with the Flake side of the family this year.  After we eat, we have started the tradition of having a stick horse rodeo.  It is lots of fun.
