Big Mistake!!

I will never try to cut my daughter's hair again.
I will never try to cut my daughter's hair again.
I will never try to cut my daughter's hair again.

This morning I tried to give Karalee a hair cut. We want to grow her hair out longer, but I wanted it to look like it had a style during the growing out process. Well things turned from bad to worse. So we quickly ran over to Great Clips to see if they could make something presentable out of the mess I had made. Here is the result.

I am so sad. The back looks cute, but I don't like the front. Next time I'll leave the hair cutting to the professionals and maybe just maybe Karalee will have long hair by the time she is 5.

Spencer's toothless

I pulled Spencer's other top tooth on Monday night. He has a cute toothless smile now and a little bit of a lisp when he talks. Fun, fun, fun!!

Fun Stuff

Here are a few pictures from last week.

Last Saturday was a very successful shopping day. Bashas was having a great sale on cereal and I had coupons so I was able to get 20 boxes of cereal for $10. I had to re-arrange my pantry. Here is my cereal shelf now. (Not all of that cereal was purchased last Sat.)

Last Saturday morning I also went to a few yard sales to pass the time while Chad was helping a family in our ward move. I found this bedspread, the pillow shams, and decorative pillows for Karalee's bed for $5. When I brought them home I immediately threw everything in the washer and washed them twice. Once in hot water just to make sure everything was clean. At that same yard sale I was able to get 3 cases of new pint jars for $6. Usually those cost around $10 a case so I felt very fortunate.

When I walked past Karalee's room last week while she was sleeping I found her in this position. Funny Girl!

On Saturday we had some churros, Chad enjoyed them so much he decided to look up online how to make them himself. So, yesterday after spending a while trying to create some sort of churro maker himself he realized that Karalee's play-doh toys would do the trick. It worked very well and the churros were so yummy.

After many, many attempts over the last month, Spencer's top tooth finally came out last Monday afternoon. It has been sticking out funny for a long time, which was driving me crazy.

Karalee has been singing a lot lately. Here is a video of Karalee singing the ABC's with her Baby Shakespeare video.

Karalee and Molly were just playing with our microphone. Here's Karalee singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

Muscles and a picnic

We picked up this Fantastic 4 costume at a yard sale last Sat. morning and Bryant has fallen in love with his new muscles. He wore them all day long. A little funny story, before lunch Karalee was saying the blessing and I noticed that the boys weren't being very reverent. I asked them if they closed their eyes during the prayer and Bryant said "No, I was looking at my muscles."

Last week we had a girl from our ward come over and they had a picnic for lunch in the back yard, not because I am a fun mom, but because I had just mopped the floor and I didn't want them to spill anything on it just yet.

So true

I recently found a quote in the book that I am reading that is so true. But first a little background as to what is happening in the story. A mother was trying to deal with her son in public while he was throwing a fit about getting some Cheetos. She tried to divert his attention else where, but when that didn't work she just gave them to him. She later heard other mother's criticizing her for giving in to his fit.

"Motherhood is the only job in the world where your every decision is questioned and doubted and criticized. No matter what you do, no matter what choice you make, someone somewhere is convinced that you are doing irreparable harm to your children. And she probably has a vocal, militant group of like-minded mommies on the Internet backing her up."

Dancing

The other night after we finished watching a movie Bryant started dancing to the song that was playing with the credits. He is so cute when he dances that I wanted to record it on camera. Surprisingly even Spencer joined in on the dancing. He is a pretty good dancer, but gets embarrassed to dance in front of us. I think his love for being on camera won out over his embarrassment.
