Mom's birthday party, Pinewood derby, School projects
When I called my Mom on her birthday I talked her into coming down to "the valley" (that's what I grew up calling this area) so those of us who live down here could celebrate her birthday with her too. So on January 15th, three days after my Mom's birthday, I threw a fiesta to help her celebrate being 71 years young. We had a fun time. I planned a few games from the minute to win it show--put an oreo on your forehead and get it into your mouth without using your hands, and the cup stacking/unstacking race. It was a lot of fun. We love you Mom!!!
Spencer had to make a character mask to go with his book report. Can you guess what book he read?
The 100th day of school is tomorrow and Bryant made this poster for his project. He has 40 cars and planes, 20 pennies, 20 raisins, and 20 toothpicks to equal 100 things on his poster. When I told him I wanted to take his picture with his poster he said he wanted to make a silly face. I LOVE my Bryant boy's originality.
Silly
As I was uploading this I realized this would make a good AT&T "more bars in more places" commercial?
10th Anniversary Trip
Here are the pictures from my phone from our Trip to Vegas. I am kind of bummed that we forgot our camera, but these picture will work I guess.
Waiting to get on the plane.
At the Luxor
This was either at the Luxor or Mandalay bay. I thought the kids would like this picture of a headless statue.
I think these next two are at Ceasar's Palace, or maybe the Bellagio, or somewhere else. I LOVE this hallway. It was so pretty.
Here is the acrobat we saw at Circus Circus. She was very bendable.
Watching the circus
I loved the jelly bean statue of liberty
The lion exhibit at MGM grand
The water show at the Bellagio. Still my favorite Vegas attraction.
The Volcano show at the Mirage
The giant aquarium at the Mirage.
Waiting for the Blue Man group show to start. It was a great show.
In front of the Excalibur where we stayed. By the expressions on our faces, I guess it was bright outside.
New Years in Snowflake
We spent a few days in Snowflake around New Years. It was a lot of fun and REALLY cold. There was around 6 inches of snow. We love Snowflake!!!
I love these pictures of Marlee all bundled up. She liked the snow as long as we didn't put her down. She didn't like to get down because she couldn't walk in the deep snow without tripping.
2010 Family Pictures
Here are some shots from our 2010 family photo shoot. Our friend Melissa Lantz came and took them for us in our back yard. Thank you Melissa! For those of you who might be wondering how we got our name in our yard, Chad planted it in our grass when we reseeded for the winter.
