Love notes

I just walked into my room and noticed these notes Spencer wrote to me and left on my pillow. He is such a thoughtful boy. He and Bryant leave notes for me all the time. I am so lucky. I LOVE them!

Grandpa Angle's 80th Birthday Party

We had a really fun day yesterday in Thatcher celebrating Grandpa Angle's 80th birthday. We completed a session in the beautiful new Gila Valley Temple. After that we went to the park and had a BBQ and played games. Grandpa played Run Sheepy Run with us and did some foot races. He is still fast. Now I know where Chad's speed comes from. It would be really cool if there were a way to see Grandpa and Chad race back when Grandpa was in his prime. I think Grandpa really would give Chad a run for his money.

After the races were over I asked Grandpa if he was going to be sore after all that racing and he said his legs would probably be sore. Then he said that he hasn't run in years and that if he would've known he was going to run he would have started training a month ago so he could beat everyone.

What a blessing to be so active when you are 80. We love you Grandpa and hope that we can be in as good a shape as you when we are 80!

Last Day of School 2010

My boys' last day of school was last Thursday. I am so excited for the lazy hazy days of summer. Here are a few shots of Bryant's kindergarten graduation and Spencer's end of the year party.

I was in charge of the activity or craft at Spencer's end of the year party. I taught them how to play "Do you love your neighbor?" They liked it.

Art Sanders' Family Pictures

Yesterday we took family pictures with Chad's family before his sister Deserie leaves on her mission to Salt Lake. The first one is our crazy picture. The second one is the one that turned out the best. I am sure Art will Photo shop a few things though.

Tall Tower

Yesterday while it was my turn to attend a session of The Gila Valley Temple Dedication Chad helped the kids construct these Lego towers. I was impressed.

A Drive Around the Island

The Saturday morning we were in Hawaii we went to the swap meet. We were able to pick up some good souvenirs. Then we went to Pearl Harbor to see the USS Arizona Memorial. We had to wait awhile for our tour to start, so we went to a nearby restaurant called Schooners. It was good. It was open and right on the Harbor. It was a fun restaurant. After that we drove the long way back to the Hotel so we could see more of the island. We drove through Honolulu and saw the Waikiki beach area. I am so glad we stayed on the North side of the island. The Waikiki beach area is crowded and not very peaceful at all. We drove around Diamond Head Crater. We stopped and looked at the blowhole, which after talking to my sister Kayla, it is better during the winter when the waves are bigger. It is crazy how part of the small island is desert and the other part is so jungley. We came across a macadamia nut farm on our way back. We stopped and were able to sample lots of different flavors. We had already bought quite a few macadamia nuts to bring home, but we bought even more at the farm because they were so yummy.

Snorkling and Cliff Jumping in Hawaii

Here are a few pictures from Waimea Bay. We jumped off the cliff a few times. Chad got right up and did a back flip off on his first jump. The people on the cliff were impressed. It was funny to hear their reaction. The next time he jumped he did a gainer back flip and they liked that even better.

Sunday Afternoon in Hawaii

A week ago today I was in Hawaii. It was so wonderful. The Sunday afternoon Chad and I spent together on the beach in Hawaii, walking and watching the sunset was probably one of the most peaceful days in my life. It was so wonderful. From time to time I find myself closing my eyes to picture in my mind's eye these moments we spent together there.

A sweet lady in the Kahuku 2nd ward where we attended church gave me her lei. It smelled SO good.

This guy was practicing his tight rope walking. Random.

A seal swam ashore for his Sunday afternoon nap.

Lot's of pictures of my handsome hubby. This little stretch of beach kept us entertained for awhile. It was so beautiful and peaceful. We had fun getting our feet wet when the waves would wash up on the sand. It was also fun watching the water erase our footprints.

I had fun watching the sand crabs dig in for the night. There were tons of crabs. I am glad we didn't step on any.

BEAUTIFUL

This forest area was 20 feet from the beach.

Do you think I can take him?

We packed up Sunday evening so we could have more time to play on Monday morning before it was time to fly home.
The rest of these pictures were taken on Monday morning. We spent the last of our free time in Hawaii at Waimea Bay.

I took this picture of the Dole pineapple plantation from the van on our way back to the airport. If you look closely you can see the pineapples.

We arrived at the airport at midnight. I was kind of sleepy.

Our vacation is over, until next time, I hope.
