My Sister-in-Law Jennifer tagged me so now I have to share 8 random facts about me.
1. I'm a real life Arizona cowgirl. Even though I am not much of a practicing cowgirl any longer I still consider myself a cowgirl nonetheless. (Isn't that a cool word!) I did 4-H, have tried Rocky Mountain Oysters, and I preg-tested a cow. (I had no clue whether the cow was pregnant or not, but I tried it just so I could say that I've done it.)
2. I really like vocabulary, grammar, and spelling. I think I have to thank my high school teacher Miss Cunningham for that. I know that I am not a perfect speller and I tend to make typos from time to time, but I worry about every word that I don't know how to spell.
3. I want lots of children, but I really, really do not like to be pregnant.
4. I have been run over. I was sitting on a pipe trailer (which is very light weight) with my older brothers and my feet got caught in the wheel, which made me fall off. Then the trailer ran over my legs. My brothers were so kind, they made me get up and walk home! Luckily it was just up the road a hundred yards or so from our home.
5. In high school I played on the girl's basketball and volleyball teams. My Senior year our teams won the State Championship in both of those sports. Go Lobos!!!
6. I play the piano, the violin, and the viola.
7. I don't like a cluttery, dirty house, yet my house needs to be cleaned badly at the moment and here I am blogging away instead.
8. I think my husband is about the coolest person ever. I love to brag about him.

Which Disney Princess Are You?
Which Disney Princess Are You???
I saw this on my friend Trina's blog and thought I would try it too. Here is my result:
According to the answers you have just chosen you are most like the Disney Princess Cinderella. Although gentle and soft spoken, Cinderella has a keen intelligent sense of humor which she wisely keeps hidden from her cruel Stepmother and jealous stepsisters. Finding delight in her tiny animal friends, able to sing as she works, Cinderella has true dignity something her Stepsisters could learn a thing or two about. Despite moments of heartbreak and disappointment, Cinderella holds onto her hopes until goodness and beauty are rewarded and dreams that she has dreamed do come true.

Parasailing
I went parasailing with Amy and David and my friend Kami Nichols while we were in Rocky Point. It was fun and relaxing.
Amy and David went first here are a few pictures of them.
Riding "The Red Shark" / Dolphins
Bryant was so excited to ride "The Red Shark." While we were riding we were visited by some dolphins. It was so cool! I rode with the first of our group that went for a ride and then when the second group went for a ride I sat in the boat so I could take some pictures of the riders and the dolphins.
During the first part of this video not much happens, but towards the end the dophins jump out of the water and throw a fish into the air.
2008 Rocky Point Vacation
We just got back from another wonderful Rocky Point vacation. We went with some of our favorite people; my Mom, Tyler and Jennifer and family, Amy and David, Hayley, Heather, Shelby, Kami, and Charlie and Tiffany Ballard and family. This year we rented Chad's boss's three bedroom condo at the Las Palomas resort that is right on the point of the resort so we had a spectacular view. We had a great time riding "The Red Shark", snorkeling, parasailing, riding jet skiies, letting off fireworks, finding sea shells, eating at the local restaurants, floating down the lazy river, seeing some dolphins up close, and hanging out with family and friends. I am so bumed that I didn't get any pictures of the jet skiing, especially of my Mom riding. In fact I am sad that I didn't get any pictures of my Mom on the trip.

Funeral
My Dad's Memorial Service and Funeral were very nice and very well attended. His Memorial Service was held at a Stake Center in Phoenix, every chair in the Stake Center was full, and people had to stand in the back. His Funeral Service was held in Snowflake at the Main Street chapel, again every seat was filled. Here are a few pictures from the viewing, and grave side services.
My Dad's sons-in-law were Casket Bearers
We had the casket lowered into the grave during the grave side service.
The kids threw flowers into his grave.

Daddy
Jake Flake
Aug. 4, 1935 - June 8, 2008
My father passed away suddenly Sunday morning. I am going to be blogging quite a few pictures of him over the next few weeks because I save my blogs for a scrapbook. I will miss my dad tremendously. He was a great man, a wonderful dad, an awesome grandpa, a respected legislator, a treasured friend, and one of the last true cowboys. My family and I have felt so honored as people share how he has touched their lives. We have recieved many visits, phone calls, e-mails, etc. He was a friend to more people than we ever knew. Almost everyone that knew him loved him and he loved them. Here are a few more pictures of him.
